Vegetable Biriyani

Vegetable Biriyani Recipe:

Yes, Today its vegetable Special!

Its one of my favourite too:-)

Let see how to make it.

Ingredients Required:

Basmati Rice – 2 Cups

Carrot – 2 no’s

Beans – 10  no’s

Potato – 2 no’s(Medium)

Onion – 2 no’s(Large)

Tomato – 4 no’s(Medium)

Green Chilli – 5 no’s

Ginger – Small Piece

Garlic – 4 no’s

Bay leaves -3 no’s

Cloves – 5 no’s

Cumin seeds-1 spoon

Fennel seeds – 1 Spoon

Cinnamon sticks – As required

Cashews – 5 no’s

Water – 3 1/2 cups

Salt – As required

Chilli powder – 1/2 Spoon

Oil – 5 Spoons

Mint Leaves – Handful

Preparation:

Add 5 Spoons of Oil in the Pan , Once its getting heated add all the spices (Mentioned above) in the low flame then add the ground paste(Ginger, Garlic, Cashews and green chilies) and saute for 2 minutes.

After that add onions, Tomato and all the above said vegetables and saute well till they are half cooked then add Salt , chili powder and water. Let it Boil for 5 minutes.

Add Soaked rice and mix it gently.

Close the lid and keep the flame in medium mode.

Switch off the flame after two whistles.

Now the Yummy Vegetable biriyani is ready:-)

Servings: 4 Persons

Preferred Side dish : Onion Raita
