Pepper Rice

Today’s special - Pepper rice

Yes its winter season :-)wanna try some dish which kills cold:-D

Here it is 😀


Cooked rice -2 cups(Add required salt while cooking)

Gingelly Oil- As required

Ghee -2 spoons

Salt — As required

Pepper — 2 spoon

Cumin seeds — 1 spoon

Asafoetida — pinch

Red chilies — 1 no(large)

Curry leaves — As required

Splitted Bengal gram — 2 spoon

Black gram — 01 spoon

Mustard — 01 spoon

Cashews — 07 to 08 pieces

Preparation method:

Fry pepper, cumin seeds, black gram, Bengal gram, asafoetida , red chilies in one spoon of gingelly oil until it turns light brown. Switch off the flame and allow it to cool.

Grind it to fine powder and keep it aside.

Pour 2 to 3 spoons of gingelly oil in pan once its starts heating add mustard , black gram, Bengal gram, curry leaves and cashews. Once it turns golden brown add cooked rice to it then gently add grind powder and mix it well.

Finally add 2 spoons of ghee.

Now the Spicy pepper rice is ready!!!!!!!

Serving suggestions: It tastes good with Pappad or potato chips.
